Alexis Arai is a rising voice in Mariachi Worship, with her genre bending fusion that blends the heart of traditional Mexican music with the soul of contemporary worship. With a warm, expressive voice and a deep love for her culture and faith, Alexis creates music that is both reverent and refreshingly original. Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Alexis grew up immersed in the rich duality of her heritage. Her mother being from the Midwest and her father from Guanajuato, Mexico. She began singing, playing violin and guitar at the age of 6, quickly joining a local mariachi school and performing with the youth ensemble Las Estrellitas. Her talent and charisma were evident early on, earning her the opportunity to perform the national anthem for Warren Buffett and Tom Osborne at just 10 years old.
Her debut single, a Mariachi infused rendition of “I Speak Jesus,” has amassed over 15 million views across social platforms, capturing the attention of listeners drawn to the powerful blend of tradition and worship. Since then, Alexis has continued to build momentum, touring with the legendary Los Tigres del Norte, singing alongside the
Omaha Symphony and receiving honors at the Omaha Entertainment Arts Awards.
Alexis draws inspiration from artists like Kari Jobe and Gina Alba, crafting songs that reflect her deep faith and cultural roots. Her goal is simple but profound, to glorify Jesus through music that celebrates heritage, heals hearts and invites listeners into joyful worship.
Outside of music, Alexis is an avid traveler and foodie, always chasing new adventures with her husband, whether hiking, camping, or exploring the diverse flavors of the world.
